ygo_citylights and the information here is strictly that of the character involved.
While Shaadi didn't originally exist as a normal human being, coming to life as a result of Atemu's father's desire for someone to protect his son, once everything with the Ceremonial Duel and the Millennium Items was complete, he came to have a normal life, at least for a short time. He grew up in Cairo, Egypt, with caring parents, and was an only child. While aware of Duel Monsters as a popular game, he has little interest in actual dueling or the greats of the dueling world.
Shaadi has an interest in history, specifically Egyptian, and pursued a degree in such while in college. After achieving it, a great restlessness overtook him and he began to travel the world. He hasn't yet settled into a specific career, but writes history papers for various magazines when necessary. He views his travels as part of the research for such things, not quite certain of any other reason he could have for doing so. Due to his travels and education, he speaks Arabic, English, and Japanese quite fluently, as they were where he went the most frequently. He is currently 28 years old.
He dreams quite frequently, but never remembers anything of them when he's awake, beyond the faintest hint that they involved Pharaonic history. He attributes most of this to his historical studies, but once in a while, one of the dreams will disturb him enough so he can't sleep anymore that night. This happens at least once a month, though the non-disturbing dreams are a nightly event.
Recently he has begun to feel a pull towards Domino City, one place he never quite felt attracted to no matter where else he went in Japan.
